LIBRAFUL: Live That Balanced Life
The application that keeps your health balanced.
What is Libraful?
Coined from star sign Libra, Libraful is a new way to visualise and manage one’s health. Just like how Libra embodies balance, users are introduced to personalised exercises to “balance” their mental, physical and social health.
Libraful gives users the confidence to improve their life each day but doing small exercises, that add up to larger changes in their life in the long run.
My Role and Key Takeaways.
In this project, I was in charge of my own research and its findings, collating that information into our group’s thematic analysis, idea generation, report writing and animating the promotion video.
Being a team member of this project required me to work closely with my team, updating done tasks through a Kanban board and collaborating with other UX designers to create Libraful.
Key Takeaways
A criterion of success helped me largely in this project to help me re-evaluate solutions in light of user needs.
Taking time to craft the right interview questions helped save time and find valuable insights. This entails asking questions which are not too narrow, however not too wide in scope either.
Was introduced to Kanban methodology as a new way to implement development and iterative work.

Public Health Reimagined
In some ways, the COVID19 pandemic thrusted public health into the public spotlight, with our lives being shaped by changing government mandates, increased frequency of hygiene practices and social isolation.
In doing this, the larger issues of our public health system are revealed, revealing that the COVID19 pandemic is the smaller issue dwarfed by obesity and the lack of health and wellbeing. This physical health pandemic affected 2 in 3 (67%) Australians (AIHW, 2021) and in addition is exacerbated by COVID19, with restrictions preventing from many people from exercising in their gyms and public areas.
The question is now, with the larger health epidemic being the lack of exercise, how do we reimagine public health to encourage and help our fellow Australians to live be a healthier version of themselves?
Gantt Chart
We maintained effective time management by utilizing a Gantt Chart and the work management software Monday.com. By assigning roles for tasks and allocating deadlines, we were able to best develop and iterate our concept through to a finished prototype.
The low and mid fidelity stage of development and testing required more time than predicted., due to the time-intensive nature of sketching, testing and improving the concept.
Ultimately, we worked collaboratively and persevered to complete the final difficult stage of design development, evaluation and presentation.

User Research
Problem scenarios were written up around the topic of public health, scenarios and problems that would form the basis of our investigation.
Support way-finding, for users having difficulty trying to look for support services.
Balancing ones’ health, for the ones looking to find neglected aspects of their health and wellbeing to balance their life.
Being stuck in lockdown, for users whose lifestyle has been interrupted or disturbed by the pandemic, how its affected them mentally and emotionally.
These topics shaped the way we structured our research, in how we talked with our users and collected our research data.
Aside from the usual interviews and questionnaires, we included the use of a text diary study, where our users habits and thoughts were tracked over a period of time, giving us insight into the deeper needs our our users.
Reframing the Problem
When we reframe, we focus on broadening our initial problem statement
